ASSITEJ (Association International du Theatre puor l’Enfance et la Jeunesse) is a world network of theatre for children and young people established in 1965 by a global alliance of theatre for , by, and with children and young people linking thousands of individuals, theatres , and organizations through national centers in more than 75 countries on all 6 continents.
Lithuanian National ASSTEJ center (president Violeta Podolskaitė) became the member of International ASSITEJ on 2001.
“ASSITEJ International Project” is a designation with the purpose of promoting theatre for children and young people worldwide through the recognition of significant international seminars, symposiums and meetings for professional theatre practitioners.
