The Second International ASSITEJ Theatre Festival was organized in western Lithuania—in Klaipeda and Palanga—in the spring of 2006. There were 32 performances in the program,13 Lithuanian participants, and 6 theater troupes from foreign countries.
The Second National ASSITEJ Theatre Festival was organized in 2005 all over Lithuania. Every theater “found” its audiences in different country towns, schools, hospitals and etc. A creative seminar for Lithuanian playwrights, theatre directors, actors, and critics was organized by the Goethe Institute and led by the well-known German playwright Christo Sagor.
The First National ASSITEJ Theatre Festival was organized in Vilnius and Alytus in 2004. During the festival, guests from the Swedish ASSITEJ, Lena Lindell and Bernt Hoglund, held a creative laboratory event for Lithuanian teachers.
The First International ASSITEJ Theatre Festival took place in Vilnius in 2003. The festival offered guest performances by participants from Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Estonia. During the festival a playwrights’ seminar was organized, led by Latvian playwright and director Lauris Gundars.
ASSITEJ of Lithuania organized a seminar for teachers called “Professional theatre integration in schools and kindergartens” in 2001.
ASSITEJ of Lithuania and ASSITEJ of Sweden organized the seminar “How to develop small mobile forms of performances in schools and similar spaces” in 2000.
